一、看清楚题目要求。
写Paper中间，读懂reading，回答清楚问题，大大增加拿A可能性。这是有两个问题，首先，审题扣题。能够清楚地回答好prompt中的问题决非易事，而这一点绝对在北美大学的paper拿A中占了非常大的分量。很多时候你认为简单的Paper题目，却可能因为没有完全理解、符合题意，最终写出差强人意的Paper。
二、根据要求来写。
写Paper之前一定要清楚老师的要求，并且知道可以利用的资源。Paper的要求不仅包括这篇具体作业老师对你写多少篇幅，采用哪些资源，回答哪些问题，如何构架文章的具体要求，还包括老师的评分要求。这一切差别都非常重要，因为任何一点都可能决定你最后的Paper是得到B＋还是A，要知道paper这种东西，比起你已经习惯的problem sets，评分起来是有不少主观因素的！
三、Office hour很重要
如果你已经写了一两次这门课或者这个老师的paper了，请一定要去office hour和老师谈你之前的paper的情况！刚刚那3点的建议加起来，都没有这一条重要！这不只是因为老师能够给你更准确的指导，让你更了解自己paper需要特别注意的地方。
四、提前给导师或同学帮你看看。
除了教授和TA，大家可能都知道的是学的writing center可以去看。不过呢，writing center的tutor们因为并不一定是你专业的同学，单凭给他们看你的prompt和paper，在短短的时间内，他们可能没办法最好地帮到你。
